Axiom Mission 2 (Ax-2) is the second all-private astronaut mission

to the International Space Station (ISS), operated by Axiom Space. 

Ax-2 was launched on 21 May 2023 on a SpaceX Falcon 9, and successfully docked on 22 May. 

Ax-2 is a significant milestone in the commercialization of space. 

It is the first private mission to the ISS to be operated by a company other than NASA. 

Ax-2 is also the first mission to the ISS to feature a crew of four people. 

Ax-2 is a critical first step along the journey toward Axiom Station, the world's first commercial space station. 

Axiom Station is a planned commercial space station that will be built in orbit around the Earth.  

Axiom Station is scheduled to be launched in 2024.
